The Pet Sustainability Coalition is once again organizing a 30-day Earth Day Rally to inspire 10,000 actions that lead to a better future for pets, people, and planet. Companies can invite team members to join their online platform that is fun, simple, and engaging, to empower hundreds of pet industry professionals each year to take earth-friendly action. With easy to complete mini-challenges, individuals and teams accumulate dozens of actions that together, amplify a united message of care and corporate responsibility.
Team ZIWI took the challenge by storm and has inspired some friendly competition among each other to not only remain at the top of the organization leaderboard, but to compete within our own team and departments. The ZIWI USA office is distributing gift cards to local nurseries throughout the challenge to weekly top point earners, encouraging even more green action from our office.
To earn points, our team has been participating in using reusable containers for lunches, turning off unnecessary lights in the office, going paperless while possible, being extra cognizant of turning off electronics, using reusable grocery bags and learning about different sustainable initiatives other companies have initiated so that we can follow suit and continue to forge forward as sustainably as possible. At ZIWI, we value being Kaitiaki (guardians of the land, sea, and its creatures) so being able to participate in this challenge with other companies in the pet industry who value the importance and impact of sustainability, has been a blast for our team. Upwards and onwards as we try to hold our lead through the month of April!
